✅ 1. Eligibility Criteria

Academic +2 (PCL) in relevant streams:– Law, Admin, Commerce, Economics, Math, Stats depending on service group
Age 18–35 years (up to 40 for women & disabled)

📝 2. Submit Application

  • Apply online via the PSC portal: psconline1.psc.gov.np

  • Fee: NPR 700 per group, +NPR 200 for each additional group applied .

✏️ 3. Written Examination (300 Marks)

Stage I — Preliminary (Screening)

  • 50 MCQs (General Knowledge + Mental Ability), 100 marks, 45-minute duration.

  • 2 marks per question, 20% negative marking.

  • Must score ≥45 to qualify (not counted in final tally)

Stage II — Main Exam (200 Marks)

  1. Paper I (Common) – Contemporary Studies & Public Service Management

    • 14 short-answer questions (5 marks each), 3 long-answer (10 marks each); total 100 marks, pass ≥40

  2. Paper II – Service-Group Specific

    • Subjective; based on chosen service (Administration, Law, Revenue, Audit, etc.). 100 marks, pass ≥40

  • Merit list considers 50% of preliminary + total of Paper I & II

  • Computer Skills Test – Practical exam, 10 marks, 15-minute duration Interview – Oral exam, 30 marks

  • Final score = Main Exam (200) + Final Stage (40).

  • Candidates are selected based on combined marks and ranking.

  • Appointment is to Non‑Gazetted First Class (Level 5) positions across services and provinces

  • Salary: Basic ~NPR 34,730, total ~NPR 41,676 including allowances

  2. Study materials:

    • +2 Math textbooks for IQ.

    • Specialized GK, contemporary affairs books, and service-specific notes

  3. Mock tests & coaching:

    • Join offline or online classes (Zoom, Google Meet).

  4. Focus on past questions, timed practice, and current affairs.
